My Starting Line Up in the NBA

This is who I would have in my starting line up. What would your starting five look like?

In this blog I want to talk about who I would have in my starting line up if I were a coach and why. Everyone has a certain starting five of all-time that they would put together and their reasons for it. My starting line up won’t just be all of the greatest players put together but some strategic thinking to make this a good starting five.

Derrick Rose

I would have Derrick Rose as my point guard, before he faced all of his injuries he was super tough to stop. I believe Derrick Rose could carry the Bulls every season if he never got hurt and stayed healthy his whole career. I would put Derrick Rose as my point guard because he was a great player for the bulls and won a MVP at a young age.

Michael Jordan

This is no surprise of who I would have at my shooting guard position and his name is Michael Jordan. I would put Michael Jordan as my shooting guard because he is an unstoppable scorer and a great defender. He would put fear in teams eye’s and give my team a great opportunity to win.

Lebron James

LeBron James

This is also no surprise of who I would put at my small forward position and he goes by the name of King James. Lebron James is definitely won of the greatest passers to play in the NBA. He can drive the basketball and finish on anyone. He would put my team in a great position to win, his basketball IQ is needed on anyones starting line up.

Tim Duncan

There are many skilled power forwards that have played in the NBA and who are still playing the game today. I would want Tim Duncan in my starting line up because he was so skilled in his era and played hard every single game. Tim Duncan was one of the hardest power forwards to defend, I think he would play great with the rest of my players in my starting five.

Wilt Chamberlain

I have no choice but to put Wilt Chamberlain as my big man, he would put of numbers that were unreal. He was so dominate in his era, he would score rebound like it was nothing. He would dominate with this starting five and be a huge role.

Who would you have in your starting five?

Who is the G.O.A.T(Greatest of all-time)?

There are two Big time NBA players that come to mind when you think about who is the GOAT of the NBA, their names are Michael Jordan and Lebron James. These two individuals have dominated to different eras and played at a very high level for many NBA seasons. Michael Jordan and Lebron James have to very different types of games/skills that make them great but nothing can be taken away from either of them. When Michael Jordan came into the league he grew into a star, people didn’t know that he was going to be as great as he actually was. When Lebron James came into the league he had a huge target on his back and had to live up to what people expected him to be. This will forever be a debate on who is better between Mike and Bron. Who do you think is a better player?

In my Opinion, Michael Jordan is no doubt the greatest scorer to ever play in the NBA but I would say Lebron James is my “GOAT”. I grew up watching Lebron, he can do it all, he can score, rebound, and pass the ball like no one has seen since Magic Johnson. When debating the two, I never like to take away from what the other has done for the NBA. Michael Jordan is so hard to debate against since he went 6 for 6 in the finals and his NBA resume is Great!

Debates is what makes sports so competitive and fun to talk about. Sports wouldn’t be the same if everyone agreed on the same thing. Both Michael Jordan and Lebron James deserve to be in the GOAT conversation for all of their accomplishments. Between Michael Jordan and Lebron James who the GOAT to you?
